Whatcha Lookin’ For?

Whatcha Lookin’ For?

Whatcha Lookin’ For?

I was out shoppin’ the other day, lookin’ and lookin’ for a top to go with a particular outfit. I finally found one that I liked, bought it, and brought it home.

Don’t you know that the very next day, I was goin’ through my closet, and discovered that I had that exact same top already!  It was hangin’ right there on the hanger with the outfit that I was tryin’ to match!

Has this ever happened to you?  Well, it got me to thinkin’.

Sometimes, we look everywhere for what we think we need, but chances are – especially if we’ve reached a certain age – we probably have it already, or somethin’ pretty darn close to it!

Let me tell you what I mean.

If you’ve had lots of relationships, lots of schoolin’, and have made decent money all your life, you’ve probably accumulated a lot of information, wisdom, and stuff.

It’s right there in your possession.  All you have to do is dis-cover it.  Take the cover off of it.

Thinkin’ that you’re missin’ somethin’ can get you all caught up in the lookin’, and keep you from the doin’.

You ever say to yourself,  “As soon as I do such-and-such, I’ll be able to do so-and-so.”  Does that sound familiar?  If it does, I have to tell you, that kind of thinkin’ can keep your dream just out of your reach!

Now, some things have a particular order to them, but what if you already have enough of somethin’ to at least get you started?  Gettin’ started is sometimes the hardest thing to do, but if you go ahead and jump in, yoiu might just be able to fill in the rest as you go along.  It can be scary sometimes, but it can also be a real blessing.

Before you go lookin’ for somethin’, why not take an inventory of what you already have.  Doin’ so might save you a lot of time, and a lot of money in the long run.

So I ask you today, is there something that you think you need, that you already have?

Whatcha lookin’ for, when you’ve already got it?

So give it some thought, take inventory, be thankful, and I’ll see you next time.

And remember, God loves you, and so do I!
